Fernando, a coffee producer from Caranavi, Bolivia, has an inspiring journey of passion and innovation. Born into a fruit farming family, he studied agriculture and developed a deep interest in coffee, working at Panama’s renowned La Esmeralda farm under Mr. Price Peterson. In 2016, Fernando returned to Bolivia, starting a coffee farm integrated with the forest, preserving native plants and animals. Despite challenges, he focused on researching and experimenting with varieties like Geisha, adapting harvest times to the local rainy season. His dedication paid off when he won first place at the 2021 President’s Cup, selling his coffee for USD 350/kg. Known for his humility, Fernando works closely with his wife and continues to produce exceptional nano lots that showcase his innovative methods. Coffee enthusiasts eagerly await his next creations.
